Pittsburgh-Based IT Solutions Consultancy Continues Growth: Welcomes New Management

Summa

Pittsburgh, PA – October 1, 2013 – Summa, an IT Consultancy with a geographic footprint in Pittsburgh and the Mid-Atlantic, wrapped up its fiscal year with continued growth and success, including hiring a record number of 70 new employees and growing revenue 11% Year-over-Year. Summa’s Management team has high goals for the coming fiscal year, including continued expansion – for both business and employee base – in the Mid-Atlantic region.

“Summa’s expansion has been the recurring theme over the past few years,” Summa CEO Audrey Dunning noted. “We celebrated our past and continuing growth at our annual company-wide Summit at the Bolger Center in Potomac, Maryland last week. We doubled our employee base with a variety of positions in consulting, administration, sales and marketing over the past year alone. Summa is also growing and nurturing our presence in the Mid-Atlantic by adding new employees and key customers in the region.”

In addition to achieving its business goals, Summa welcomed new members to its Senior Management Team. Sandy Merich was promoted to VP of Sales, Business Development and Strategic Alliances in April 2013 and Lee Ann Prosky-Carter was hired in July 2013 as the new Chief Financial Officer with overall responsibility for Finance, Internal IT infrastructure and Systems, and Contract Administration for the Company.

“I’m honored to join Summa at such a dynamic time in the company’s growth,” said Prosky-Carter. “Summa is known for its strong relationships with its employees and customers and its track record of financial success -- I look forward to helping the company to continue to grow profitably.”

Summa is no stranger to the recognition of its growth and success. The company made the Inc 5000 list for the third-consecutive year for its three-year sales growth of 152%. Summa also won the 2013 IBM Beacon Award for “Outstanding Business Agility” and is a finalist for the Pittsburgh Technology Council’s Tech 50 “Interactive and Application Developer of the Year” award. The Pittsburgh Business Times recognized Summa as one of the “Best Places to Work in Western PA” for the seventh consecutive year and the Post-Gazette listed the company as one of the “2013 Top Workplaces” in Pittsburgh for the third time in a row.

“It’s an exciting time to be at Summa,” said Summa Chief Human Resource Officer Mark Coy. “With the expansion of our customer partnerships, presence in the Mid-Atlantic region and solution offerings, and adding 30 new employees over this fiscal year, we’re confident that 2014 will be Summa’s most successful year yet.”
